⚠️ CONNECTION ISSUE · NANO S
Lédger® Live not Connecting to Nano S ™
🔧 Don't panic — here's how to get your Nano S connected to Lédger® Live
in 5 steps
🚨 Lédger® Live won't detect your Nano S?
You're not alone. This common issue is often due to USB cable problems,
driver conflicts, browser interference, or outdated firmware.
Follow this official troubleshooting guide to restore your connection.
Why won't Lédger® Live connect to my Nano S?
The Nano S connects via USB, and connection failures typically stem from
physical cable issues, USB port problems, or system-level driver conflicts.
On Windows, missing or outdated drivers are a common culprit. On macOS,
permission settings may block the connection.
Quick checks: Ensure you're using the original USB cable that came with your Nano S — not all cables support data transfer. Try a different USB port, and if possible, test on another computer to isolate the issue. Also verify that your Nano S screen shows "Ready" or "Dashboard" before connecting.
Browser interference: If you're using Lédger Live alongside a browser with WebUSB enabled (like Chrome), the browser may try to claim the device. Close all browser tabs that might access USB devices, then restart Lédger Live and reconnect.
Firmware updates: An outdated Nano S firmware can cause connection problems. Use the Lédger Live "Manager" section to check for firmware updates — but only once the device is detected. If it's not detected, you may need to use the Lédger Live "Repair" tool available in the settings menu.
